Lady Gaga: the karate-styled surfer

Lady Gaga is the newest surfing celebrity. The singer has enjoyed a few waves in Mexico, during a short summer vacation. The 25-year-old pop star has reportedly been taking surfing lessons while enjoying some time off.

Gaga was photographed surfing waves in Puerto Vallarta, a Mexican balneario resort city situated on the Pacific Ocean’s Bahia de Banderas. She is taking off on a 2-3ft wave and preparing to go for a radical bottom turn in a karate-style position.

Lady Gaga was taking a break from promoting new single “You And I” and decided to pay $240 for her surfing lesson. “For a relative beginner she took to surfing really well,” said a witness.

“She started quite slowly learning how to bodyboard and then she was able to work up to standing – she made excellent progress.”

The picture was posted by Lady Gaga on her Twitter page and shows the star in a skimpy black bikini and standing on a surfboard with caption that read, “yeah thats me. no heels baby.”

David Beckham: bodyboarding star

David Beckham: bodyboarding star

David Beckham has been enjoying bodyboarding with the family. The British football player is playing for the LA Galaxy team, but he also enjoys the spirit of water sports that made California famous.

The star of the green fields decided to take on the waves of Malibu, in USA. David Beckham hit the water with his boys Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. It seems that the youngsters might have a future in bodyboarding.

Apparently, the footballer wasn’t riding waves with fins, a leash or wetsuit. Beckham decided to relax and enjoy the pleasures of the 1ft inside foam.

Despite the inexperience in the wave riding issues, the British star didn’t lie on the slick of the bodyboard. He chose the correct posture, no doubt, but he will hardly make a career change.

Beckham owns and an estimated fortune of 165 million pounds. Married with Victoria Beckham, he has recently been father of Harper Seven. Source: SurferToday

Seychelles: a Royal kiteboarding arena

Prince William keeps making the headlines with his water sports’ skills. After spending his bachelor party hitting the waves of the United Kingdom, the British monarch tried a new ride in the Indian Ocean.

William went kiteboarding in Seychelles, during the honeymoon with Kate Middleton. With strong trade winds and huge waves, this island country gets the best weather conditions for wave sports.

“Kate was tempted to try it because she’s quite adventurous but she preferred relaxing on a sun-lounger and watching Wills do it. He’s got quite good at it,” a Daily Star source revealed.

SurferToday.com had already reported the addiction of the British Royal family for water activities. In the late 70’s, Prince Charles went windsurfing in Australia.

Back in that time, Windsurfer One Design equipment was a must-have and you didn’t need an harness to enjoy the winds and flat waters of oceans and lakes.

Prince William has already surfed and kiteboarded. Let’s see if he completes the wave checklist. There’s still windsurfing and bodyboarding before being crowned King of Water Sports. Source: SurferToday
